Wholesale cannabis menus and ordering for licensed cultivators
WeedShelf is wholesale cannabis menu and ordering software for licensed cultivators. It reads a cultivator’s inventory from METRC on a scheduled sync and on demand, turns it into a wholesale menu with one private link per dispensary, and records what each buyer does with that link: the open, the products viewed, what went into the cart and in what quantity, and the order. From an order it creates the METRC child packages on adult-use tags, the transfer template and the emailed invoice; the cultivator dispatches in METRC Connect, as the state requires. Live in Rhode Island; Massachusetts and other METRC states by request.
What it does
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Inventory from METRC | The menu is built from the cultivator’s METRC packages, read on a scheduled sync and whenever the cultivator taps Sync now; an order is checked against the last sync less the quantities already on open orders. A sync that returns nothing from METRC is refused rather than emptying the menu, and what the cultivator adds (images, tags, featured products, notes) survives each sync. |
| One private link per dispensary | Each dispensary gets its own menu link, branded with the cultivator’s logo. The buyer opens it without an account: the link is the identity. No wholesale menu is open to the public. |
| Buyer activity | For each link: when it was opened, which products were viewed, what went into the cart and in what quantity, and the order. |
| Ordering | A buyer orders from the menu. A cultivator can also paste or type what a buyer sent, and the order is drafted from it; nothing is placed until the cultivator taps Place order. |
| METRC packages and transfer template | From an order: the METRC child packages on adult-use tags, the transfer template, and the manifest PDF after the cultivator dispatches in METRC Connect. |
| Invoices | The invoice is emailed to the buyer once the dispatched METRC manifest matches the order or the cultivator attaches it; a mismatch holds the invoice for the cultivator to correct. The cultivator collects payment as before. |
| Reorder proposals | In beta, for enrolled buyers: a proposed reorder sent to that buyer. |
| Menu formats | A buyer can read the menu as a grid or a table and download it as a PDF. |
| Buyer marketplace | Members-only, in Rhode Island: a dispensary buyer requests an account, WeedShelf reviews it and ties it to one store, and it opens the live menus of every participating cultivator. A cultivator can leave it. |
What it is not
WeedShelf is not an ERP and does not try to be one. It keeps no books, syncs no accounting system, processes no payments, plans no delivery routes and keeps no public wholesale catalog.
Questions
- What does WeedShelf cost?
- Set per account. The default fee is a share of the month’s confirmed sales made through WeedShelf, capped at a monthly fee, so a month with no sales costs nothing; there is no public price list.
- Where does WeedShelf work?
- Rhode Island today. Massachusetts and the other states that use METRC by request, since WeedShelf works through METRC.
- Does WeedShelf connect to METRC?
- Yes. Inventory is read from METRC, and an order becomes METRC child packages and a transfer template that the cultivator dispatches in METRC Connect.
- Does a dispensary buyer need an account?
- No. Each dispensary receives its own private link, and that link is the identity. Rhode Island dispensary buyers can also request a WeedShelf buyer account, which opens every participating cultivator’s menu.
- Does WeedShelf process payments or keep the books?
- No. WeedShelf emails the invoice; the cultivator invoices and collects as before, and the books stay wherever they are.
- Is WeedShelf the same as SeedLink?
- WeedShelf at www.weedshelf.com is the wholesale cannabis menu product, formerly SeedLink. WeedShelf Intelligence is its separate market intelligence product.
- How is this different from WeedShelf Intelligence?
- WeedShelf wholesale menus connect a cultivator’s METRC inventory to private buyer links and record what each buyer does with them. WeedShelf Intelligence is the separate market intelligence product: it describes observed brand presence, product assortment and recorded menu changes on monitored Rhode Island retail menus.
